Welcome to our Sponsorship  program!  Thank you for your commitment to bringing physical and spiritual care to a child in need in Lugazi Uganda , east Africa.

Uganda’s population is approximately 26.4 Million, 6 Million men and women who have died due to HIV/AIDS and the war leaving 2.6 Million children are orphaned. Many of these are homeless and living on the streets, vulnerable to abuse, crime and prostitution. Others are living in child – headed homes with older siblings having the responsibility to care for younger brothers and sisters after the death of their parents. Others are living with friends and relatives who simply do not have the financial resources to provide adequate care.

Such is the scale of the orphan problem in Africa that those that are well cared for and living in orphanages or good foster homes are a minority. When orphans have no one to protect them they are a target for a buse. In the rural areas of Uganda, children are also often targeted for kidnapping and are abducted by rebel groups, thus perpetuating the cycle of crime, poverty and violence. Our objectives focus on moral spiritual development, economic empowerment, social development, poverty eradication in a bid to restore dignity.

Writing Letters to your Sponsored Child:
Writing to your sponsor child brings them a sense of value and encouragements. We recommend that you keep your letters simple and brief. Avoid writing about material items that may emphasize the child’s poverty.

When sending corresponse to your child, please ensure you write his / her name and reference number at the top of the letter. It is not necessary to include your address on the envelop to the child, or in the letter. Send your correspondence to our Post Office Box address (box 44, Lugazi, Uganda)and we will forward it on for you. Our aim is to provide a reply letter, but please allow extended time for this.

HOW DOES CHILD SPONSORSHIP WORK?

Your monthly support will help to provide three healthy meals each day for the children living with a Foster Parent in a foster home, but attending the school as well as their school fees. Your sponsorship will also help provide clothing, medical care when needed and school suppliess.

Most of the children that we get sponsorships for are orphaned or abandoned children who have been living in some incredibly severe conditions of neglect or abuse. You can help rescue a child today and make a lasting difference in the life of another human being with so much potential and purpose.
